Aéropostale, Inc. was started as a private label by R.H Marcy and Co. which later developed into a speciality store concept is an American shopping mall-based specialty retailer of casual apparel and accessories, principally targeting the teenagers. Aéropostale began in 2009, and originally only offered apparel at value prices to the 7–12 age market. There is a clothing and accessories section designed by American video blogger Bethany Mota. Live Love Dream collection (LLD) was added to Aéropostale stores. Live Love Dream consists of lounge and activewear geared to girls along with a brand called Jimmy’Z that focused on surf and skate clothing. Aéropostale maintains its control over designing, sourcing, marketing and selling all of its own merchandise. The company operates Aéropostale stores in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico and the e-commerce site aeropostale.com and the licensees operate The company was named by Fortune magazine as one of the top 100 companies to work for in 2013.
